BACON ON THE BONGO'S

Did you know Kevin Bacon and his brother have a band? A band of what you might ask? Not a band of Gypsy’s but they do need a band-aid covering their mouths to stop the tonal secretion emitting from the oral orifice, oh my bad was that singing? Thank god for the day job and Questlove doing the DJ'ing, the only things that saved the Tribeca Film Festival Afterparty held last night at the Apple Store Soho.

How Do I Do the Voodoo That I Do?

Why did everyone think I was speaking directly to them yesterday. I love my self-centered friends, I received 12 responses (U know who u are). Si, Te Amo Mucho, but no you are not the only person I e-mail my updates to. How do I do the voodoo that I do? Its my ability to focus on you solely, that makes every single one of you feel like your the one and only, when actually you are one of many. This is what makes me such a good mistress..... of ceremonies.

Gotcha

The opening of Choice last night, basically just off the hook. Neighborhood hotties, both male and female filled the space with positivity and massive amounts of grace. The international league of hot men lined the walls, and the exterior air with french linguistics, which could be heard for miles. Deserts, food and sangria filled the bellies of all in attendance, leaving everyone happy and satisfied. Lemon squares, juicy chicken, burgers on foccacia are all my favorite. Choice is the best choice in Clinton Hill for all your stomachs needs.

TUESDAYS ROCK

Why you might ask, I'll give you three reasons.

1. I was told I was a rock star last night by an actual Rock Star.
2. I imbibed a large quantity of free booze, and I do not have a hang over.
3. I danced with an Englishman in New York.

Lets see what Wednesday bring.

The Lighter Side of Things

Why is that when April sprouts into the sun, every person I have ever met, danced and exchanged fluids with decides to call? Let’s have a drink, or dinner, or let me smell you. I've received pictures as inducements, that out of fear of being sued I will not but am itching to show you. Yes these are the lines I've heard since April 1 and as the month progresses the statements and grand gestures get a little heavier. Its spring things should be light and playful, not baffling and crass.

Anyway lets get started, and by the way when did Tuesday become the hot night to go out?

Over and Over and Over Again

I love walking into a bar, and recognizing the Bartender, It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside, So I show up to La Esquina thinking I was meeting up with someone, and ended up at a loft in Soho with some actors, artists, the bartender and the DJ talking art, commerce, and pretension.

How did my night/early morn start and end on this topic of conversation you might ask yourself.

Drawing Restraint 9
The irony is that this pompously executed film should teach the director something as well, to Draw Restraint —on his ego. Everything that pops into a megalomaniac’s head should not be displayed on celluloid with a $10.75 price tag on it. Oops was that a critique, or my anger/ resentment at wasting 2.5 hours of my precious Sunday and money, visualizing the overtly unnecessary narcissistic symbolic metaphors indoctrinating the abuses of whaling and why they are pissing me off. His mediocre artistic attempt inevitable created the opposite of the intended effect. I LOVE VASELINE PETROLEUM JELLY —BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY— keep up the good work Johnson and Johnson.

BASCIALLY THE FILM REPRESENTS EVERYTHING ART IS NOT.

Excuse my discourse—at least I apologize for my unnecessary actions.

Anyway back to the business at hand.

I Want to Introduce You to the Suite Life.

Its hard planning vacations when you’re impecunious. Don't worry I don't need to eat, eating is overrated and we live in an obese society anyway. I don't want to contribute to the overindulgent American stereotype while traipsing around Europe and Africa this summer.

Yes, that's correct the partygirl you all know and love is going international once again.

The Sky is A Gypsy

Before hitting 11 South yesterday I had to make a pitstop at a UES chicken joint. That’s right homosapiens on the UES eat fried chicken as well as the personage of 11 South. So, I made my way with Artie in toe to a HSBC ATM for greenback reinforcements. While inside a woman of the caucasian persuasion knocked on the door. Artie looked at her, she knocked again Artie looked at her. She finally put 2 and 2 together and decided to open the door, a la Atm card. I want to ask everyone out there in blogland, did she think Artie was the HSBC doormen. I don’t know what she was thinking but on entering she asked baffled, "did you think I was going to rob the atm," Artie's reply, "I don't take chances, you know this neighborhood, you folks steal people let alone money".

Again, I love my friends.

Tonight hang time with Basia and Douglas after work, then who knows the sky's the limit, I hope you guys order or make dinner.

Russian Samovar

How did I end up at the Russian Samovar on Saturday night, I'm not Russian, so why was I there with Russian men asking me questions like "Do you have a little Russian in you, would u like some," Eeew. Why did this happen you ask; because of steamy spring nights when all your friends either flake on you or really flake out have nervous break-downs and end up in a psyche ward and your ex calls you to see how your doing, Oops to much information.
Grand Salutations to Gina for having a Sunday bbq on her new Manhattan outside deck, roast pork, chicken delicious. I brought hot dogs and Champagne, classy aren't I?

11 South has been a hoot, but it has run its course, Thank you Jesus.
Tonight will hopefully be my last night in attendance, with fried chicken in hand.
